Job Description

PURPOSE:

Develop training programs for new operators and operators pursuing re-training and cross-training opportunities. Coordinate and coach other trainers in their record keeping and training functions. Conduct quality audits of processes and operators to assure compliance with customer requirements is met and to provide formal feedback to operators on quality performance.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Ensure that all related safety training is completed prior to the employee beginning any task specific training.
  • Responsible for the development of the training modules.
  • Conduct or administer written evaluations as required in the step progression requirements.
  • Conduct qualification audits.
  • Responsible for maintaining accurate training documentation.
  • Initiate revision to training modules as needed.
  • Audit mentor’s training methods.
  • Records shall be kept organized and in a secure area.
  • Assist in the evaluation of all incoming employees to determine training needs, appropriate step placement within the job classification, and to establish interim evaluation periods if necessary.
  • Develop and maintain run charts to monitor daily quality performance. Apply run chart rules to identify quality excursions. Notify supervision, engineering, and operators as required.
  • Conduct audits and provide feedback to supervision, operators, and engineering.
  • Work with engineering on process development and improvement
  • Compile and issue monthly reports as required
  • Develop SOP’s and maintain and audit PCP’s and Tech cards.
  • Regular and predictable attendance
  • Required Overtime
  • Any other job duties that the supervisor may request.
  • Conduct hands-on training


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an operator.
  • Certified Task Analytical Training System (TATS) Trainer.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to properly prioritize work load.
  • Must be highly organized.
  • Ability to use various computer systems and software to include Excel, Word, Access, Microsoft Outlook Email, Internet and others as required.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member, and to give and receive instructions and training.
  • Ability and desire to continue education and take classes to improve job skills as needed.
  • May be required to complete Hazardous Waste Management Training
  • Demonstrated mastery of at least two of the core skills defined by the department
  • Successfully complete the Auditor Training Course
